Pastor Emmanuel Masih, a visionary and dedicated leader, embarked on a journey of faith when he immigrated to the USA from Sialkot, Pakistan, in 1984. At that time, the town lacked a Desi church, prompting him to initiate worship programs in his own home alongside Pastor Ernest E. Mall (1950-2008) and Brother Bashir Almas. The humble beginnings of these worship gatherings laid the foundation for what would become the Pakistani New Life Church (PNLC). In 1986, they officially commenced church services in a small chapel within Cardone Industries, a practice that continued until 1994.

With a growing congregation, the need for a larger space became evident, leading PNLC to transition to a formal church building. Presently, our church services, along with various ceremonial events, are held at 3117 Longshore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149. Over 400 members actively participate in the services every Sunday and throughout the week, marking the initiation of Urdu services and establishing Pakistan New Life Church as the pioneering and foremost Urdu Service church in Philadelphia.

The arrival of Brother Safdar Masih (now Pastor) in July 1993 marked a significant chapter in the church’s history. Serving as Worship Leader alongside Pastor Emmanuel Masih and Pastor Earnest Mall, the leadership team encountered a profound moment when Pastor Ernest Mall passed away on July 14, 2008. In the face of this loss, Pakistani New Life Church experienced a transformative period, diligently working and praying to achieve vertical growth, both in the number of church families and in winning souls for the glorification of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After years of dedicated service, Brother Safdar Masih, Sister Shazia Masih, and Sister Aneeta Gill were formally ordained on April 4, 2019. Now serving as ordained Pastors, they are empowered to conduct various religious rites and ceremonies, such as funeral services, marriage ceremonies, and the dedication and commissioning of other ministers. Pastor Emmanuel Masih serves as the Pastor Incharge, while Pastor Safdar Masih is the Lead Pastor, Pastor Shazia Masih oversees the Women’s Ministry, and Pastor Aneeta Gill serves as the Youth Pastor, also overseeing Teenagers and Kids Ministries. The church is blessed with in-house associate pastors and visiting pastors, as well as a dedicated team of volunteers spanning from music players, youth teachers, Sunday school teachers, music controllers, photographers, administrative staff, to cleaners – each contributing their unique talents to glorify the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
